Prayer

Prayer is at the heart of everything we do at Petra Church because we believe the life of the church is centred on its prayer life, that is why Jesus said my house shall be a house of prayer for all people (Mark 11:17). “Prayer is the Christian lifeline to God, and with it lives are changed for eternity (E.M Bounds). You are welcome to join us every Tuesday’s evening for our weekly explosive time of prayer and our monthly NIGHT OF MERCY prayer gathering. As we continue to pray, we have seen and received incredible answers to prayer, and you can be next in line for God’s supernatural intervention in your life, come let us pray together.

Discipleship

At Petra church, discipling men and women is the priority around which our lives are focused on because Jesus Christ final words to His disciple before His ascension into heaven in Mathew 28:19-20 was centred on discipleship. Our life groups fellowship is a platform in place to achieve our discipleship goals and objectives; every member of Petra church is encouraged to belong to either the women or men life groups fellowship. There a lots of life transforming testimonies coming out of these group fellowship meeting. Times and meeting venues for both the men and women life group fellowship can be found on our events page.

Petra Children ministry

Children are the hope of the future generation of the church, we acknowledged and valued their place in kingdom building hence why we create an enabling environment for their spiritual development. Our dedicated Sunday school teachers who always work extremely hard to ensure our children are safe and secure and make the most of their fellowship time. During these classes, the children are giving the opportunity to discover their identity in Christ, grow their spiritual gifts which can be used to reach out to their friends and their communities. The children ministry consists of two age brackets: The Genesis class from 1-4 years and the Apostle class 4-10 years.

Missions at Petra Church

Mission is at the heart of why we exist as a church, reaching the unreached with the gospel starting from our own Jerusalem “our community, cities and nation” for the Lord. So, last Saturday of every month we go out on the streets in our local community as announced by the evangelism department to let Jesus known and this we are committed to as individual and corporately as a church. We organise evangelistic events periodically as led by the Holy Spirit inviting our friends and family members to share the love of Jesus both in words and deeds. More than our local commitment to take over our cities for the Lord, we are also involved in international mission through our Elim global mission.

Petra Youths

At Petra Church, we believe that our youths are the future generation of leaders, hence why we are passionate about teaching and training them up in the ways of the lord. Our youths meet every Sunday in their class the same time with the adult church and they enjoy interactive time with one another creating friendship and developing a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ as our dedicated teachers leads them on this journey. Most of our youths are actively involved in various ministries such as technical support, worship team and children ministry support.

Petra Worship team

We are passionate worshippers at Petra church because we believe as we worship Him in spirit and in truth, we encounter God thus bringing healing to the total man, do join us every Sunday morning for a time of praise and worship.
